- Internal MedicineMeet Dr. Vincent Svonavec! Dr. Vince has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost 30 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. His fields of interest include internal medicine and ultrasound diagnostics, including echocardiography. Dr. Svonavec loves learning new techniques and is always trying to stay up to date on the newest information in the field! In his spare time, he loves the outdoors! He most enjoys spending time with his Golden Retriever Oakley, who he adopted last year! Pictured here, he is taking care of one of his many kitty patients.
- UltrasoundImaging such as x-rays or ultrasound, which allows diagnosis of conditions of the heart and lungs, gastrointestinal obstruction, tumors of the internal organs or bones, fluid in the chest or abdominal cavity, urinary stones or gallstones, reproductive diseases, and bone/joint disorders. For most patients, gentle restraint can be used for these procedures, however, in some cases, sedation may be necessary.
