initially in 2014 I went to Mr. Moore, I was treated very nicely and appeared to be knowledgeable about my 100 year Swiss anniversary clock that was a present given to my paternal grand mother by my paternal grand father in the period of courting. It worked fine through the ages and had stopped for a while in Baltimore but when I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, a clock smith took care of my clock.....he was excellent but unfortunately he's no more.

Mr. Moore told me that it is a total disassemble and went on, kept it for 13 months and after 390$ and some change, and too many calls finally got the clock back. It ran for two weeks and stopped in spite of perfect level and under the glass dome. So I was back to Mr. Moore!!!
This time another bed time story that was 20 months long......then suddenly I had it.....I wanted my clock back!!! I was told that they can't locate my clock......!!!! I saw stars!!!!!I was furious and sad .....this item is priceless to me..... after another 4 months and a couple of baker's dozen calls I was told to come pick it up and 300+$ and it should be working....

It has never worked after Mr. Moore started relating his horror stories.....

Would leave 0 stars if I could.
I brought them my mothers emperor mantel clock in September of 2014. They told me it would be around $100 to fix and that it would be finished by Christmas. In January of 2015 I called them to see if I could come pick it up and they said it was not finished yet. Fast forward more calls and me visiting the shop 3 more times and my clock was not worked on by May 7th 2015. I told them just to give me my clock back.
While I was in there 2 more people in line had been waiting 6 months for their clocks too.

I have taken both antique and "modern" chiming clocks in for service. They are very expensive and take forever. They really don't care about their customers and it shows.

This is one of the only stores of its kind in Houston. I'm so glad that there are still people that have the skills to fix and maintain clocks. The owners' knowledge is vast and they are more then willing to take the time to teach their customers, not just give the basic to get them out of the store.

They do watch repair as well and they carry battery sizes that you can't find at places like walmart.

Great service!

Took my watch to get some links taken out. The service was fast, the people were friendly, and the price was cheap. Definitely would recommend.

My wife left several watches there requiring simple battery replacements. They lost three of her watches, and even though she had all the claim tickets, etc. they actually accused her of not bring them in at all!! Refused to pay for her lost watches. NEVER GO THERE!!

Exc ellent Service

I bought a Tissot watch four years ago and recently got problem, It could not run. I took that to the store and it said to fix the problem, $120 would be needed. Then I found this Watch Repairing store from internet and took the watch to them. They changed the battery and fix the problem and it only took 15 minutes and $12. What a big saving!

Unhappy Customer

I took a clock belonging to my late mother in September 2011 to be cleaned. I was told it would take two months and cost $150.00. After many calls inquiring on my clock status and excuse after excuse it was finally finished in March 2012 and I was charged $190.00. I did not complain on the over charge I only wanted my clock back.I brought it home and it ran 5 minutes fast so I returned the clock four days later to be readjusted. I decided to replace the old weight chains with new ones and was quoted $20.00 for the chains and it would be finished in a week. Again, after many calls to them and promises to call me back which they never did I finally received my clock yesterday, July 28, 2012 and was overcharge for the chains. I was quoted $20.00 and was charged $40.00, when I questioned them I was told $20.00 per chain..what ever! What was to be a two month repair ended up being 10 months. I found the owners when I complained unapologetic and could care less attitude. Never did they apologize for their poor service, lack of communication with me and overcharging.I will never go back to them...lack of customer service and arrogance.

Overcharged, took longer than quoted

I took in a watch to be repaired. They told me it would be ready in a week. A month and a half later they finally fixed it. I went to pick it up and they tried to charge me more than the price they quoted me when I dropped it off.You would be better off buying a new watch than taking it there for repairs. I don't like to wear the watch anymore because it reminds me of being ripped off and makes me angry.

Excellent service, nice people!

I took in two Junghans clocks that I purchased from Austria for adjustments and they took them in instantly, completed the repairs on the spot, and the charges were unbelieveably reasonable. Highly recommended! Now both of my clocks are working great and I am very happy!

Expert watch repair

My husband and I had taken a few watches to a jeweler for repair; it was horrible. I was leary of leaving my watches with anyone else since that experience. We decided after driving by Moore Time a few times to go in with our watches and see what they had to say. Well.... Mr. Moore was able to get two running immediately with us having to leave 3 behind for repairs. We felt comfortable leaving them based on his quick assessment of what was wrong (the jeweler had absolutely no idea at all and had my watch about 9 months or so). He and his wife were super nice, store had some really really cool clocks and various time pieces. Well, needless to say, we found a new watch / clock person. Store is cool and some of the clocks and grandfathrs remind me of an easier time. Really liked him, his wife, and his store : )

More Time & More Money is What You Will Need at this Shop!

I took a mantle clock that belonged to my grandfather to them for repair. They kept it FOUR MONTHS, charged me $135 and when I got it back, it still did not run. Of course, I'm not taking it back because who knows how long they will keep it the next time!! Horrible service.

Excellent Service

I gave my grandfather clock to my son. After it was delivered to his home in Bentwater, it would not run. I called several clock shops to arrange for it to be repaired. Their service calls were all about the same price. I was told by one shop, that because the clock had not been serviced for 14 years and had been in storage for 2 years, it would most likely need to be taken back to their shop for repairs, at a cost of $250 to $550. I felt rather certain that was what would actually occur, if I scheduled service them, so I made an appointment with Moore Time. Mr. Moore arrived at the appointment time, cleaned and started the clock, and only charged for a service call. We are VERY PLEASED with the fair and professional service we received, and have now scheduled a service call every 3 years.
