My Fathers Guitar was stolen and sold here

I have a serious complaint with this shop.

This pawn shop hocked my stolen music equipment. In 2010 my van was broken into and all my music equipment including a very special Gibson ES 120 that my father passed down to me was stolen. I searched for ten months all over Houston. I was driving through Stafford one day to get some CDs printed at a print shop in the area when I saw Murphy road pawn. I had by this time relented to the fact that my equipment was gone, but imagine my suprise when I walked into their store and found my Sunn power amp sitting on their shelf. I immediately started asking questions to which the owners blew me off. I had a police report and serial # to some of the equipment. The owners did finally show me a reciept they had from "Larry Williams" which detailed all my stolen equipment he pawned to them. I was able to reclaim the Amplifier, but Murphy road Pawn claimed they sold everything else & refused to tell me who they apparently sold my Father's Guitar to. I pressed and told them I would be willing to talk to the person, buy it back, it is very special to me. They lied to me on some occasions and said that who ever bought the Gibson paid cash. They are lying so they wont have to disappoint a customer, likely a friend of theirs who is now playing my Fathers guitar, that he passed down to me. I think they also don't want to have to return the several thousand dollars that whoever bought the guitar paid them. I still call and threaten to take them to small claims court, although I havn't yet.

So If you are in the Stafford area and know someone who is playing a 1955 Gibson Es 120 hollowbody, with a worn side and a replaced input jack, that guitar has me and my fathers blood on the wood, It is ours, and If you have a heart you will return it to us. In the mean time don't be fooled by the friendly seeming mom and pop facade of Murphy road pawn, they are crooks, and will screw you if it means profit for them. by not telling me where the old guitar is, They helped destroy a precious part of a legacy my father gave me and now I will not be able to pass that piece of to my son.
