Ok so the braids were done very nicely.....however shop is NOT clean and they gave me HEAD LICE! I knew my head was itching but I get dandruff easily so I was just washing and oiling my scalp thinking it was ok, WRONG! When my fiance saw a bug in my hair (my natural hair in my nape area that freed from the braids) I almost wrecked my car, no joke! I couldnt calm down. I couldn't get home fast enough and start taking this nightmare out. Of course I had to make an embarrassing stop at Wally World and get over $50 in products to get rid of the lice because I wouldnt be able to sleep another day! I had to spray my home top to bottom and rewash all of my clothes and bedding(I didnt trust anything and wasn't taking any risk), plus I had to remove everything from one of my bathrooms and stay put in there while taking the braids down. During the takedown I found several more bugs and eggs(getting goosebumps thinking about it now). This cute convenient hair style became the biggest mistake of my life.

I know some people are going to question how did I know it came from there, I had gone to my regular salon just two weeks prior to the install of the braids. Licensed beauticians are trained to recognize and refuse treatment to anyone with head lice; these braiders are not licensed. In addition to that, I went back and had my edges rebraided and it was just a few days after that the the inital bug was discovered. I did a lot of reasearch on the aweful critters and based on the number of bugs and eggs I found and the appearance of them, that wasn't something I picked up a few days prior, I would have already had them when she re braided the edges (most common location for head lice is around ears and neck, aka where she began braiding) and she continued on, not saying a word. Meaning she would have continued braiding anyones hair who had signs of lice and reusing those same combs and clips, aka passing them from client to client. Ok you guys get the point, I'm freaking out just thinking about it again. Don't go there, that's just gross!
