General Info
" We are a Collective" of focused experience and diverse specialties. A group constructed to offer integrated and complete care to the Puget Sound veterinary community. With roots in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, and Surgery - our careers have followed different paths. But the common thread that wove us together remains the uncompromised passion for helping animals lead happy and productive lives. Our story isn't told in the surgery room or on the black and whites of an x-ray. It's told when a game of fetch is played or a warm lap is filled again. The Summit Veterinary Referral Center was created because this singular solution requires answers to many different problems, and we are this collective.

Provided by DexKnowsWe are incredibly fortunate to have this first rate facility and skilled surgeons in our area.My Lab suddenly developed a large tumor in his mouth. My vet was quite alarmed and referred me to Summit.I called for a consult and was scheduled for an appointment immediately. Dr. Hoefling explained every step of the process we would take, explained a complex surgery in terms I could easily understand, and answered my questions completely. He was helpful and hopeful. When the surgery took place I was kept apprised and informed. My calls were returned promptly.Having to take your pet to a critical care facility is an extremely emotional and anxiety-filled experience. The staff and vets at Summit are caring, positive, and helpful. The care of your pet is their primary concern, but everyone there also has an excellent bedside manner. If I'm ever in the position of needing critical care for one of my pets again I wouldn't hesitate to return to Summit.

Provided by DexKnowsThe snobbery and smack talk about local regular veterinarians is extremely off putting. Definitely not a friendly atmosphere.

Provided by DexKnowsIn a horrible accident, my Lab-mix, Drake, tore three of four ligaments in his knee. My wife and I were devastated that this athletic and powerful animal's days running might be over. Dr. Hofeling did the surgery, outlined a recovery plan, and today, I took my dog back to the Dog park for the first time. These people worked so hard to help us and I am very satisfied with the results. Their staff is professional and friendly, and made several accommodations to help us deal with our dog's special injury. Thank you Dr. Hofeling and thank you Summit Veterinary.I've already recommended Dr. Hofeling to my brother who's American Bulldog also needed a TPLO. He's a really great surgeon with an excellent bedside manner for our big boys!

Provided by DexKnowsAn amazing group of specialists that are caring and professional. It is comforting to know that my pet received 24 hour care after her surgery. I can't beleive that I can take my dog to one place that has a radiologist, oncologist, surgeon, critical care specialist and internal medicine person. I wish my doctors office communicated with each other about me the way they did about my pet.
