This place is perfect! Our dog hates baths but Suzy the owner is always there to lend a hand. He weighs 130# so when he doesn't want a bath, it's not easy! The shampoos are great! The dryers are amazing!!!



Five years ago we hired Suzy for obedience training also. She was always on time to our appointments which took place in our home, listened to our needs, watched Buddha in his natural environment and then went to work. When we first got him walking was a chore because he'd drag us down the street! Within one session we were able to walk with our arm sockets securely where they belong! She explained everything to us thoroughly and answered all our questions no matter how silly they were!

From the second I walked through the front door and was hit by the CLEAN smell, making me think I was a human spa instead of a dog wash, I knew I found the new dog wash for my best friend, Casey! Normally she hates bath time, but the staff of Heavenly Dog put her at ease with yummy treats while we waited. They took my coat, gave me a chair and a magazine, as well as a list of shampoos to choose from. I chose the light coat brigtening one, even though Casey is brindle, because it's made with lavendar and smells GREAT, along with the cherry conditioner.



We had to wait a bit, but that's to be expected in such a cool place. When a tub freed up, they cleaned it very well, and then assisted me with my less than enthused victim. Being a boxer/Akita mix, Casey is big and threatening looking to some, but the helper (I never got her name), spoke dog, and wasn't afraid of my sweetie. Once up the sturdy ramp and into the tub, we found the water pressure and temperature to be spot on, the shampoo to be full of lather, but also easy to rinse out, and the conditioner to be awesome! So much hair came out in the tub!!!



BUT WAIT! There's more! The chamois they have are incredible! I swear my dog was practically dry from these magic towels, even before we turned the blow dryer on. The blow dryer doesn't get hot, but it blows super hard, blowing all the loose hair out of the dog's coat and all over the shop. And I do mean ALL OVER the shop. I felt terrible but the worker just kept saying, "no, no, that's why you come here!". it takes a while to dry an Akita mix, but it was so worth it! Casey was so soft and fluffy and her coat was super duper shiny!!



By the time I finished with the brushes (they have a slew of them at your disposal), the mess I made was all cleaned up by the girl working. She was smiling, talking, and giving out doggie treats the entire time she was sweeping the globs of hair flying off my dog. I never felt so good about making such a huge mess before in my life.



This place is da bomb, baby! WOOF WOOF!

I live in wash park, and I love the neighborhood of South Gaylord. Heavenly Dog is the perfect fit for this quaint neighborhood. With three tubs with blow dryers and drying stations, it's perfect. Always clean, with friendly, helpful staff, it's the perfect place to bring your dirty best friend. I've tried other dog washes, and this one is head and shoulders above the rest!



Suzy, the owner, is also a dog trainer, and is very helpful with not only your bathing experience, but she also gives out great training advice as well. My dog used to pull on her leash, making walks no fun. Suzy gave me a quick lesson out front which changed our lives. We now LOVE walks, and are both much happier!

We were having so much trouble with our dog....when invited to friends houses, they would ask us to leave our pup at home... until we hired Heavenly Dog as a trainer. Now we can go anywhere, and trust that our dog will behave well. We are even invited back to our friends houses now!
