Before you consider where to take your vehicle for maintenance and repair, you need to understand the difference between the two. Routine maintenance items are those listed in your vehicle's owner's manual as part of the model's service schedule. They are intended to keep your vehicle in top operating condition. Repairs are service that needs to be performed to fix a problem. Where you take your vehicle may depend on what needs to be done. . . .California Automotive Repair DOES IT ALL & then some!!
I have a 2003 Jaguar X-Type and to find a Great Repair/Service is really hard to find due to the car being a Foreign Car (Built in the UK). I mean don't get me wrong, some shops will do "Scheduled Mantience" (like oil changes, tire rotations) but for the harder stuff (like Gas Pumps, Starters, all Electrical..etc) it's a whole new Ballgame!! A neighbor/friend had been going to this Repair Shop for a long time and swore by their work. Sadly, I needed a "New Gas Pump" put in, and the other Repair Shops (not naming any) wouldn't even give the car a look, said that they do not do Foreign Cars, and to take it to the Jaguar Dealership. I said (to myself) not gonna do it, the nearest for that was all the way down in Riverside or Anaheim...plus, I had to get it towed, not happening!
I had it towed here (California Automotive Repair) and was told to talk to "Rubin". Very caring and understanding, he said without an issue, SURE, I'll take a look at it. Later that day I got a call saying that it was the "Fuel Pump" and needed a new one. Gasping for air, thinking BIG BUCKS, it only cost me $1000.00 all total!!!! Anyplace else, the Pump alone would cost over that (approx $1,546.83, without the work from the shop). Took only 2 days to do and my "Jag" is as good as new. The shop kept the car clean and made sure that I was 100% happy before I took my Jaguar of the lot. She works great I am now, and for the rest of the time that I have my car, I am for sure that I am going to "California Automotive Repair"!! Excellent service. Highly recommend this shop to everyone.
