Kobe Hibachi Steak House in Bloomington, IL features delicious Japanese cuisine such as Teriyaki, Tempura, Katsu, Steak and Hibachi favorites. Kobe can seat more than 150 people in three large rooms featuring 14 hibachi cooking stations. Chefs prepare meals on the open flame grills as hungry diners watch. Located off of Veterans Parkway and Eastland Drive next to Cub Foods. Each room can accommodate large private parties. The tatami seating is located near a large, blond-wood sushi bar. The restaurant also features a full bar and serves a large menu of specialty drinks. Kids Eat Free!: Sunday - Thursday 4pm - 9:30pm. Lunch Special: select special items for only $5.99 Mon - Sat 11am - 2pm

It is just not that good. The food is average. The wait staff and bartender are always just bad. I have tried this restaurant a few times just to see if I had visited on a bad night, but every time it is the same poor service and average food. I will give credit to the cook we had the last time. He was extremely entertaining, but the other visits were not that way. For my wife and I at the cost we can find somewhere much better in the Bloomington/Normal area to dine.
I love Kobe's Japanese Steak House the people there make you feeling individually special like they built the place just for you!!!!!!!!
I think that the food was absolutely delicious. The presentation was also spectacular. I haven't had better sushi Illinois since I was actually in Japan. However, the service itself could use some improvements. I had to ask for things several times and when I asked for an explanation of foods that I was not familiar with, the information provided was extremely unclear. If you are looking for great food, I highly recommend it, but don't count on excellent service.
Excellent presentation, steak cooked very well. A great overall experience.
the wait was very long but the food and entertainment was worth the wait. Very fun for everyone the chef entertains the whole family while he cooks.....
