General Info

The Purealizer uses broad-spectrum, ultraviolet light, which reacts with a chemical catalyst (titanium dioxide-based material) to oxidize organic compounds, thus reducing or eliminating certain microorganisms otherwise present in the air. Once activated, the photocatalyst reaction attacks the contaminant’s chemical bonds, converting the toxic compounds into benign constituents such as water and carbon dioxide. The system operates to by forcing air into the chamber by a set of fans into the highly reflective radiation chamber. The air then moves through a set of baffles which prevent the UV light from escaping the chamber. Operating at 253 nanometers, the optimum range for destroying microorganisms, the time and intensity of the UV light eliminates 99% of the pathogens. The Purealizer works continuously, providing 24/7 disinfection of airborne pathogens.
