Caster Maintenance Company, established in 1984, is a full-service machine shop offering complete rebuilding services that includes frame straightening, roll overlaying and pipe replacement. Its other services include disassembly and metal overspill removal, inspection of frames, rolls, bearings and all other components, off-line testing of cooling jackets, sprays, hydraulic systems, and lubrication systems, roll reconditioning, piping rehabilitations, and reassembly and alignment. The company maintains an extensive inventory of renewal parts. Its repair technicians are certified in the task of ameliorating bearings. It uses a computerized inventory system to log every seal, bearing, piston, hose, cylinder and spray nozzle. Caster Maintenance Company is ISO 9001:2000-certified, and is located in Gary, Ind.
