We had our own diamond. We had other jewelry stores look at setting it in a band for us. After about six different jewelers and two years, we finally came across Fentress. Fentress had a temp design before we left the store. We travelled back too see the idea laid out and gave the go ahead too build the custom ring. My wife has turquoise given to her from her grandmother and she wanted this ring too have turquoise incorporated as well. Fentress incorporated turquoise into her ring to accent her grandmothers heirloom. It turned out beautiful and my wife is thrilled too see this diamond in a band after two years of searching for Fentress. Our Thanks too Delbert and his team.

Used Fentress for a number of small repairs (at least 4 or 5 times), and I have always been very impressed. The quality of their work is top-notch and they seem to take great pride in their work - an example, I had a ring re-sized recently and they also "cleaned up" a number of imperfections without any prompting. I did not even think to ask to repair the bad joint which used to catch on clothing... now it is perfect (and I did not even ask for it!), Their rates are competitive - on a recent small job they were 25% cheaper than a big "chain-store jeweler". I will certainly use them exclusively going forward for any repair or custom work. Service is prompt - they seem to often complete jobs a day ahead of schedule - and the staff always seem very friendly and knowledgeable. Cant fault them in any way.

Tracy the designer was awesome to work with. She listened to what i wanted and provided numerous sketches and quotes. Service with a smile like always Tracy was always professional and personable. Even after the ring was finished i went back and they allowed me to make a few changes! Being an interior design major i am all about the detail. It's so nice to work with somebody who understands and performs such detail themselves. My wedding set is simply amazing!

Amazing designs and superior service. Tracy custom made my engagement ring by hand only by looking at a picture I brought. The band is tree branches and they hold a lovely raw Herkimer diamond/quartz. I will not go to any jeweler but Fentress!

Having worked at Shiffman's in the past and studied jewelry (gemstones) and jewelry design all of my life, I know the difference between the quality of design, manufacturing and repair at Fentress and other jewelry stores. The people at Fentress are extraordinarily gifted, kind, and caring. Wouldn't go anywhere else and consider myself extremely fortunate to have found them. Carol

Fentress Jewelry is the only jeweler I will give my business to. I felt like they were the first jewelry shop I went to that really worked with me and listened to what it was I wanted. At other shops I felt like I was being talked at, by a sales person who wanted nothing more than commission on a quick sale. Fentress does not have sales people, they have jewelers. They worked with me to design a unique piece that was well within my price range, but still looked like something I couldn't afford! You won't find service like this anywhere else in Greensboro!

I had a very good experience with Fentress. They repaired a ring for me quickly and at a reasonable price. I spoke with a few other well-known jewelers in the area before I went to Fentress, and their price was very reasonable. More importantly, their work was good and the service was very professional.

GETS NO STARS FROM ME!!! "If I told my best friend about this place-- I'd say" --DO NOT-- I REPEAT DO NOT get jewelry repaired here. You will be OVERCHARGED-- and the work will be shoddy-- and all they will want to do is BLAME some(one)/(thing) else! In fact-- be careful when you take your jewelry to other places-- because MANY stores in the area actually send their things out to Fentress jewelry for repair. I would suggest-- when you take a piece in for repair-- asking "do you do your repair work-- "in house"? If they will admit that Fentress does their work-- I would suggest you go elsewhere! You have been warned.....And oh yeah-- got a very bad appraisal, too. At first visit was told that a stone was "over one carat"-- and they DID measure-- in front of me-- with their calipers and say that. She said-- the diamond was "very tall"-- and that's "where the size was" then later-- when I paid for a "formal writtten appraisal"-- they said they could only see that the stone was "approx 3/4 carat" (?!?!?!)-- now-- we have to go pay MORE money-- for an appraisal-- WE CAN TRUST!
