We first started with Woodmar back in the 60's and continue at this time. They are kind, considerate and compassionate. When I have had to put an animal down, they have consoled me, treated the pet kindly and even called or sent a condolence card afterwards. I live in Schererville now and there are two vets within 5-10 mins. of me. I would rather drive to Hammond where I know my pets are treated with love and care.

The first time we came, the vet was very condescending to us because my female Boxer was a month behind on her shots (sorry, life happens!). The vet tech tried to pick her up by just the collar to put her on the table, when we both jumped up to stop him the vet told us that it was "okay" even though it was clearly not!
When we came back for the booster shots, we set the appointment for a certain time, and they did not tend to us for over half an hour. We just sat there waiting. We will be looking for a different vet for her, since this was a terrible experience both times.
To mistreat a furbaby right in front of her owners makes me uneasy as to what would happen if she needed a surgery or anything that involved her being out of our sight.

Dr. Hall is wonderful, as is the rest of the staff. You can truly tell the love animals and it shows in their work ethic. I also know that my dog will be taken care of while we're here. Their prices are fair and competitive with other local vet offices, yet the service goes above and beyond what you would expect from anywhere else.

I took my pit bull here the other day and we had to return for some medication this morning, the whole time I was greeted very nicely, the whole staff was extremely friendly, they even remembered my dogs name when I came back! The general staff as well as the actual docs were very kind to my dog in spite of the bad reputation they have and I really do not have a bad thing to say! I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing care for their pet!

My family has been bring our pets here for over 15 years and they always offer the best, most compassionate service. No one there sells dogs, not sure what the other reviewer is referring to... Thank you Woodmar Animal Clinic for taking great care of my Shadow, Maggie, Maximus, Foster, Kermit, Mew, and Mabel over the years!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. MY REGULAR VET (MUNSTER ANIMAL - WHICH I LOVE) WAS CLOSED, SO HAD TO TAKE MY DOG HERE URGENLTY DUE TO PAIN IN HER FACE/MOUTH AREA. THEY WANTED TO SEND US HOME WITH ANTIBIOTICS, I ASKED THEM TO SEDATE HER TO ACTUALLY EXAMINE HER. THEY SENT HER HOME WITH NUMEROUS CUTS ON HER LEG (NOW KEEP IN MIND SHE WENT THERE WITH PROBLEMS IN THE FACE REGION). I PAID $374 FOR THIS SERVICE VIA PHONE BECAUSE MY SISTER PICKED HER UP FOR ME.HAD TO TAKE HER TO MUNSTER THE NEXT DAY AND PAY ANOTHER $400 TO EXAMINE HER, AND FIND THE PROBLEM WITH THE FACE. TURNS OUT IT WAS AN EAR INFECTION.MY DOG WAS DEFINITELY ABUSED IN THEIR CARE, AND NOT ONLY SCARRED PSYCHOLOGICALLY, BUT WILL CARRY THESE SCARS ON HER PAW THE REST OF HER LIFE.I'M DISPUTING THIS WITH MY CREDIT CARD CO., REPORTING THEM TO THE INDIANA BOARDS, AND CONSIDERING SMALL CLAIMS COURT.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.WOODMAR AND CO. - AS I PROMISED .......SEE YOU IN COURT
