The barber shop etiquette RULES, you must know something about sports, women and good old fashioned guy stuff. Leon’s Barber Shop in Hoffman Estates is unique in every single possible aspect. You have great customers walking in, a very skilled, traditional and old fashioned barber by the chair and what else can you ask for? The prices are not sale prices because they are so low and they are the real, legit regular prices. Jimmy from Goodfellas as everyone refers to him is really nice. I am pretty sure he is the guy with the dark hair that does look like a gangster movie star. I started shooting the **** with him after seeing him walking up to his car and he highly recommended the shop back in early 2012. I think the exact words that came out of his mouth were Elias is the best barber you can ever find. I agree with that for sure. That is why I have been coming back since then. It is a small shop but do you really need 10 barbers cutting hair? There is no interpersonal relationship. This place is high quality. Thank you Leon’s!

Awesome barber shop. You know I’ve read most of the reviews on here and there are a lot of nicknames here and Yahoo but I would do one better, a nickname for both of these guys that no one has really thought of, E&J. Great vibe when you first walk in the door. Elias Leon and Jimmy the mobster since people are right, no one knows this kids last name, but he's a mobster, so what can I say? You can’t beat this place. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thumbs up!

Your neighborhood barber shop just got a lot more entertaining and fun. Leon’s in Hoffman Estates near the corner of Algonquin and Huntington is in a very small, yet nice strip mall. Leon’s is a traditional, fun, friendly and old school barber shop. Leon knows his role and getting your hair cut there is an experience you won’t forget. I’m old enough to say that I’ve been to barber shops that had owners twice Leon’s age, but this kid is classy. You don’t come across people or establishments in the locale like this. I will call Jimmy, Jimmy the Gem from Goodfellas for Jimmy the Gem Conway, this kid is another one that is in the dying breed of people. Why is it so difficult for people to be approachable and sociable like these two guys? Jimmy took time out to talk to me at the parking lot at Jewel on Palatine this past summer about sports and asked how my family was doing. Really? From a customer that is a regular there? That is what I mean that people like him and Leon are all too rare nowadays. We need more businesses like Leon’s, so by reading this, come help and support this locale.

Nice little local establishment that opened a few years ago. The principal owner, Elias, is great at what he does. I never have any complaints with this place. I didn’t start going there until the end of 2011/start of 2012 but for as many haircut establishments I’ve been too, this one puts the icing on the cake. He used to have an assistant barber but he no longer works there. It is worth my commute and travel to visit Leon’s. The reviews on Yahoo’s main website are just astonishing. Try going there on Tuesday's if you can, otherwise on the weekend.

Jimmy, Jimmy what can I say about you man? You gave me advice on sampling some good Brandy from a certain region that I can’t think of right now and ever since my wife and I have been hooked. Someone on Yahoo mentioned no one seems to know Jimmy’s last name as it is some sort of mystery, I am pretty sure it is Corleone or maybe Gambino or Gotti! Sir Elias, they should crown you like royalty my man. Five stars with no looking back!

You know George below mentioned how great this place is through Yelp, that is how I found it too and also word of mouth from one of my friends who read reviews of all local barber shops in the Hoffman Estates area. Elias is like the expensive filet mignon you order from a restaurant, except he is not expensive. I think his prices are affordable and his character is great. I just got my haircut there a few weeks ago and this man does not let you leave your chair until not only you are satisfied, but he is also. The funny thing is, the posting from Scarface is so funny. I haven’t read all of the reviews on Yahoo but after reading some, I can agree. Good for him and good for Jimmy too. I can add money to the pot of haircuts too and if Jimmy doesn’t look like a character from Goodfellas or the Sopranos, then I will pitch in for haircuts. A local joint, fun people and a great barber. FIRST CLASS!

Leon’s Barber Shop is where real barbers come from. Leon uses his craft to perfect the best haircuts in the world. When you go to read Leon’s Barber Shop reviews on Yahoo, he has over 40 reviews of five stars, which couldn’t be more truthful. Leon is young, savvy and very smart. Jimmy from the shop as so many have mentioned on Yahoo is also known to me, but before you refer to these guys as local legends, I think Jimmy was born and raised in the East Coast, maybe Leon too. I have heard Jimmy talk before and he seems to have an accent. Either way, we sure could use more Leon’s and Jimmy’s not only by our neighborhood but by the East Coast, South, West Coast and all around. I think the customers also bring a “come in” and welcome feel to the shop. I hope Leon’s sticks around for a long, long time.

Best barber shop I've been!

This guy is great, he remembers your name, takes his time and gives you the best haircut , old school , traditional barber shop run by one guy, owner/operator. If you want a shave, this is the place to go, prices are fair and service is excellent!

Great Place

New shop, young well-trained barber who prefers traditional services. I found this place solely via a search on YP.com. I plan to return, for sure.
