Sub-par....poor management

First impressions are important. In this case, it should have been a red flag. Dead grass and weeds everywhere, vines growing up the side of building. But I was more than willing to give it a try in order to support the concept of an employee owned establishment. The inside was very clean and we were hopeful. Service was adequate. Food was sub-par, very standard. Then after our meal we made the suggestion that they have comment cards, believing that the new owners would be very interested in having repeat business and knowing where they might improve. The waitress told us that we were not the first to suggest the cards but they felt with 9 managers, they knew what they were doing and didn't need suggestions. I told her about first impressions and that they needed to clean up the parking log. She said that they couldn't afford to. (Really, with 9 managers, they can't pull some weeds?) So I guess they already know their menu is too large for their limited budget without having to be told as well? I will not waste any more money on an establishment who does not care what their customers think. If these are the same staff and mgmt that Perkins had, it's no wonder it closed and it's only a matter of time here again with such bad attitudes.

TL;DR, Food is quality, service was good, great business.

I was nervous about going due to the previous review on here, but decided to go because it's near to my work and has an awesome backstory. (Used to be Perkins, corporate shut down this branch despite being profitable and former employees have restarted the business). I was seated immediately and my waiter was quick and friendly. It was 12 minutes from when I placed my order until I received my food. The breakfest veggie wrap was tasty and the breakfest potatoes were great. The food is generally similar to Perkins though the portion sizes seem much more reasonable. The price is also corrospondingly less and pretty equal to Denny's across the street. The food and service was much better than Denny's though. Go here.

The only reason I am giving them 3 stars because the food was good. The service however was a 0. 15 minutes beforea waitress came to get drink orders. another 15 before the drinks came. The restaurant was only about one third of the way full. She said they had only been open for 10 days. The back of the menu states how the "crew" was formed by 10 employees from Perkins and all the years experience they had. The food then took another 45 minutes. If they plan on staying open they need to step it up. There i are more retaurants that has good food and service that will get my business
