BEWARE. Long story short (on behalf of my elderly grandmother), the Sidewinder tech helped himself to two of my grandmother’s stepping stones while draining her septic tank. I personally feel he took advantage of an elderly woman. He’d supposedly asked permission to use the stones for the job at hand, however the stones were never found in or around the tank nor were they returned to the porch where they came from after he completed the job and left. A day or so after the work was completed, the tech called my grandmother and asked her if she’d found a piece of his equipment he’d inadvertently left there. She took the opportunity to ask him about her stepping stones, and he hesitantly said he could bring them back to her if she wanted him to. WHAT? Bring them back to her??? Weren't they supposed to have been used for the job he was doing at HER house??? He’d apparently helped himself to her stones to use on other jobs even after receiving the nearly $400 check she’d already paid for service. Regardless of whether property is returned or not, he should never have taken anything from my grandmother's property; and any tech should know better than to ask a customer for anything other than payment; and no tech should ask anything of the elderly since they can be easily confused.
