Horrible customer service!



I recently fired one of the competitor cleaners in the area (initials MWC) due to failing customer service. As an attempt to support the local Pearland economy and tax base I decided to give Oxford Cleaners a try. I dropped by for the very first time on Monday 7/14/14 with about a dozen dress shirts and 2 pair of slacks. The sulking, apparently very unhappy young woman at the counter did not bother to even greet me and just asked me my number... bad vibe settled in immediately. I politely mentioned that I had never been there before; her response... a robotic, 'what's your number'. So she punched in my contact info and I proceeded to explain what service I needed and discussed the pricing. The young woman never mentioned any discounts or coupons available. I left my clothes and rushed off to work.



I dropped by yesterday evening (~5:45 PM) to pickup my clothes. In the mean time I had ventured to the company's website to check their hours, and noticed a coupon was available to print-out. The coupon would have saved me about $0.40/shirt. Great! But I admit I stopped reading the details of the coupon before getting to the fine print. So I walked in and the same sulking unhappy young woman was there - man, she must really hate her job or is persistently in a bad mood. No greeting again, and the same robotic question, 'what's your number'. As she was looking me up in the computer I asked her if I could use the coupon I printed off from the website. She angrily starred at it momentarily and mumbled something about that I should have shown that to her when I dropped off the clothes. I asked how would I know that since I'm a new customer... she kind of huffed and sighed and starred angrily into space as the clothes came down the conveyor. At that point I was done with her bad attitude and told her that I do not need to come back to this cleaners if this is how they treat their customers. She was totally unconcerned, and just mumbled something else about showing the coupon when I drop off my clothes, all the while giving me a rude look. Seriously, I have enough stress in my life and I certainly have bigger concerns than fighting with this woman over a coupon. I told her to just let me settle the bill, crumpled up the coupon and tossed it away. I will NOT be back!
