Senior Pastor Edward G Carter's teachings are based on personal opinion and are not bible based. His congregation is cult- like and often praise the Man and not the Word. The website notes all his credentials and experience, yet the pulpit is often full of bias and chauvinistic ideologies. Additionally, even the most uneducated layman lacking any professional or specialized training knows you do not encourage your parishioners to have their children refer to a stepparent as "Mom" when their biological mother is alive and an active participant in their lives. Especially when the step parent is only eight years older. If this is not the case, than his "word" was strongly misinterpreted. I've come to know many of the members personally and that experience has succeeded in turning me away from Christianity and organized religion.
