Provided by YP.comTaking my dog to this vet, the vet was doing an examine and for about 3 minutes continued to twist and rotate my dogs right rear leg. After the visit I noticed that he was limping and favoring that leg. I called the vets office about it and they threw some medical term at me saying he is a puppy and it will come and go. That was on 09-22-2015. They also told me it was nothing to worry about. Since that appointment he still favors the right rear leg and it is curved in under his body. I feel the vet manipulated his leg way too long, especially since he was only about 5 and 1/2 months old at the time. I feel the vet caused this problem since he had no signs of it prior to this visit. I was also told by your experienced vet that my miniature poodle would be 25 pounds when grown. I would say your vets need to learn a little more about dogs before they do anything with them.
Steve, I am sorry that you feel our doctor caused the problem with your pet's rear leg during her examination. We do a full examination from nose to tail and during this exam the doctor detected that your dog's kneecap luxates or pops out of place which is referred to as a luxating patella. As we tried to explain to you, this is a congenital/inherited disease and although it cannot be predicted as to when the luxation will begin, the anatomical deformities that cause the luxations are present at birth. Some pets require surgical correction while others may go their entire life without the need for any treatment for this condition. Because this is an inherited disease, the recommendation is to not breed a dog that has been diagnosed with this condition and we encourage you to contact your breeder to inform them of the diagnosis. Thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Barbara Hull Office Manager Always Compassionate Veterinary Care

Provided by YP.comI struggled with my Lab's intestinal issues for over a year - he was okay for weeks and then suffer diarrhea for days for no reason as his diet/environmental exposure had not changed. My old ver and I tried, I thought, everything, with disappointing results.
A friend recommended ACVC and, within 2 visits, all Buddy's issues were resolved. Dr. Terlesky thoroughly examined him, suggesting a supplement along with adding natural, healthy fiber (pumpkin). She then immediately came up with a plan of action which has work perfectly. She even called me after my first visit as she was thinking about Buddy and had a thought she wanted to share with me. She was informative while remaining kind, compassionate, and patient.
The staff has always been engaging, very friendly, and helpful and, I am grateful to all.
My parents and I both have the same kind of dogs, they are siblings so we both schedule an appointment at "Always Compassionate", for the same time. Well my dog got called back first. PapPap was still in the waiting room. Evan went back and forth from my room to the waiting room to see Pap Pap, TWICE. The receptionist flipped out on my dad, twice. We asked her what she would like us to do. "Control your kid, this is a business" One NOBODY ELSE WAS THERE. Two, he wasn't destroying anything, he was seeing his mom and then pap pap. So my dads like what would you like us to do muzzle him, put him on a leash. "Well you could have someone sit with him in the car." Really?! "It is 90 degrees out, I am by my self! My dad and mom are separate from me, you have got to be kidding me right.. Nope... I'd hate to see what yins would do if you had a big dog in there who barked. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS, the worse customer service I have ever seen.

I first went to Dr. Werner when my puppy became ill. I already had a vet but they couldn't get us in immediately. Dr. Werner's office was the only vet that was able to see my puppy...asap!!! Well, one year later, all five of my dogs go to Dr. Werner. She and her staff are very compassionate...just as the name states. Dr. Werner takes the time to explain what is going on when an ailment arises and makes clear all directions, what to expect and any follow up care. I will not take my doggies any where else and am blessed to have Dr. Werner as my dog's Dog-tor!!!
I would not take my dog to anyone else. Dr. Werner and her staff are top notch. Even with the untimely illness of our dog, they were indeed compassionate and gave the realistic treatments and outcome. We took our dog there for 7 years and they made us and our dog feel welcome and comfortable. Very clean an updated facility. If we ever get another dog, we will not take her anywhere else.

Dr. Werner gets 5 Stars from Ann, owner of Woody's Dog Wash & Boutique in South Park. I bring all three of my dogs to her and have been totally satisfied with her diagnosis, dog-side manner and her pricing. She's been right on in caring for my pooches and I highly recommend her.

My dog was a client of Dr. Werner's for several years - I was terribly disappointed that I had to change vets when I moved out of state. She is extremely attentive and calming. My only negative comment is that we would often have to wait for a while after checking in - Dr. Werner was once 45 minutes late for our appointment. But if you are prepared for the extra time spent, it is well worth it - I really put a lot of trust in Dr. Werner.

Provided by YP.comDr. Werner is a very compassionate veterinarian. She always takes the time that you need her for and has been there for us through some bad times. I don't know how we would have done it without her.

Provided by YP.comWonderful and caring place with very reasonable pricing! We had many questions and they answered them all without making us feel stupid! I highly recommend Always Compassionate!
I would not take my pets anywhere else, Dr. warner is just that "compassionate" she takes the time to listen to your needs and the rates are very reasonable. I have a large golden that has epilepsy and needs blood work periodically, when the results come in, Dr. Werner personally calls with the results. I would highly recommend. Lynne/Jefferson Hills, pa
Dr. Kim Werner is wonderful! I have taken my animals on occasion to other veterinarians and have found that not every vet is pleased when you bring in a large dog such as a Rottweiler or a German Shepherd. With Dr. Werner that is not true. Unfortunately, we recently had to have our beloved dog put down and I would trust no one else but her to handle this procedure. I know she cares about each animal she sees. Thanks, Dr. Werner, so much for being so compassionate and caring.
If you want your "fur bearer" companion to receive the "BEST" veterinary care, Dr. Kim is it! We have been with Dr. Kim for over fifteen (15) years. Through good times and bad times Dr. Kim has always been there for our fur children. We trust no other veterinarian but Dr. Kimberly Werner to care for our "fur bearers".
Dr. Werner is very professional and knowledgeable. She also has a wonderful personality for dealing with pets and their owners especially in the unfortunate case of a sick animal. She is caring and takes as much time as necessary to present all information, but she lets you make the final decisions without pressure. Services are priced very fairly, and their schedule is very accommodating, especially if your animal is ill. I fully recommend this practice.
I have had dogs for over thirty years and for the last fifteen years my dogs have been hard working hunting dogs. It is not uncommon for them to get hurt on a normal outing. I of course perform a lot of home medicine, but the staff of Dr. Werner's Clinic is always more than helpful on the phone. I am also very pleased with the time and patience Dr. Werner spends with my animal while in office visit. She is very thorough in her check ups and her answers are always realistic and calculated. The ladies are a pleasure at the front desk, and the facility is extremely clean. I highly recommend Always Compassionate Vetrinary Care. Donny Zarra - Pittsburgh, PA
