Dolce Vita is a staple of great Italian food in Tucson. WE have been going there for 12 years. last night, we went to dinner and rather having the same thing, the baked lasagna, which is ooey gooey good, we tried the chicken piccatta. It was traditionally preapred with the lemon and capers and lightly pan seared. The service is good and they always bring fresh bread to the table. It is a family owned restaurant and Harry is usually does the front of the house and greets his guests on a nightly basis. It's cozy and reasonable and always a good hearty meal!

Provided by YP.comI found the meal really good, I had spaghetti carbonara outstanding. The service vvery good. The wine list so easy to read and has excellent choices. How could you not like it.I really think someone does know Italian food when they give this place 1 star, bull!!
We had been coming to this restaurant for about 11 years. On 12/10 we arrived about 1:30PM. An unsmiling, tall waiter came to our table. We told him we wanted to split a lasagna lunch. He looked down his nose at us and said loudly "we don't do that" When we told him we had done that numerous times at his restaurant, he said loudly I'll have to charge you 3 dollars. So we got the full lunch. It had been customary at this place for the waiter to bring bread at about the time he brought the drinks. Drinks came, no bread. Salad came and still no bread. Lasagna came, still no bread. Finally, part way through the lunch, the cold, slightly stale bread came. Waiter did not fill our iced tea glasses until they sat empty 5-10 minutes. The Lasagna was not of the usual high quality that we were used to. We both agreed it was of the same quality as frozen Lasagna from Costco. Waiter brought the check & never asked if we wanted anything else, like desert or coffee. No more Dolce Vita.

Provided by YP.comI am originally from the East Coast so i know good Italian. I was in Tucson for business and happened upon this place.
I had an absolutely teriffic meal. From the minnestrone soup, bread, eggplant parmesan (some of the best I've had in years) and pasta; it was all cooked perfectly. I will have no hesitation about coming back again

Provided by DexKnowsI have been to Dolce Vita several times, each time trying something different. I read a review that the pizza was supposed to be good but it turned out to tasting like a frozen pizza. The other dishes are okay but I can't believe that this place has been in business for so long. There are much better Italian restaurants in Tucson.
