I was looking for a replacement vet for my four dogs and two cats and was referred to Abby Pet by several animal rescue friends. I've only seen Dr Ashley Collins but was impressed right away. Very knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. The techs have all been gentle and caring, too. They also cost less and appear to understand the financial considerations for those of us not able to work. The front desk folks aren't maybe as friendly as they could be, but my experience has been very good. I'm going to use Abby Pet until there's a reason not to.

Not so friendly, but services were great. My 8 month old lab was attacked by a dog I had adopted at the SPCA. I took here to Abby because my primary vet had no vacancies at the time and was told Abby was a good place to go. Well, all things considering my dog was frightened and growling. Dr. Brewer told me that dogs like mine are only going to give me problems and that she should be put to sleep and that there are plenty of loving dogs at the SPCA that need homes. I proceeded to tell her exactly what happened because my little girl had a hole the size of a quarter on her leg and several other bite wounds on her face. I did not appreciate the comments about how my pup should be put to sleep considering she was attacked by one of those "loving" SPCA dogs.My dog had every reason to be distraught. The medical procedures done on my girl were more than I expected, but were done in a very professional manner. When I came back in to pick my baby up Dr. Brewer had a different outlook of my dog

Abby Pet Hospital is the best!!!!!!!!

I searched around Fresno for competent vets for years, but never could find one that was compassionate, good to the animals, well read, and treated me with respect. That is, until I found this place. Though it is always busy, the staff makes time to check on everyone as they wait for the doctor. They genuinely care about all of the animals. Other places I've gone to, I see the vet tech first, then the doctor come in for three minutes, leaves, and the tech comes back to explain what the doctor found. Here, the doctor did all of the physical inspection, talked to me about what she was seeing, and clearly explained what my options were for treatment. This is the only vet I've found in Fresno that uses holistic medicine along with traditional practices. I'd never go anywhere else with my animals.

I thought our "Huggie Bear" had been poisoned by Pine Sol, come to find out he had two failing kidney's. Because they excepted him immediately and he was given devoted love and attention by all staff members, our kitten survived. This pet hospital excepts calls from worried pet owners and happily gives you an update on the status of the pets health and invites you to come visit them. They even give them their own pillow's for comfort. Affordable top of the line quality care. Highly recommended to those who want the best for their pet!

All three vets and the supporting staff are caring individuals. This is the only vet in town that is good enough for our animals. Thank you, Abby Pet Hospital, for the consistent level of service and caring you provide.
