If you are looking for an honest auto repair shop, then look no further. After dealing with numerous repair shops for the last 40 years, dealing with shop foreman Duane McCollum at Richey’s Tire Factory is a breath of fresh air.



I have been buying tires from Richey’s for the last 25 years and only recently started taking my cars in for repairs at their Mill Plain location. My wife and I take our cars in for 30K, 60K, 90K and even 160K services.

Richey’s prices for 30k service etc. are always half of what dealers quote. The reason? Duane will only perform service that is suggested by the manufacturer whereas the dealer will sell you services that are not really vital to the longevity of your car. Now that’s honest!



I recently had a new timing belt installed by Duane and his price was considerably less than quotes from other shops around town.



Another thing that I like about this place is that it is well organized, professionally run and the demeanor and attitude of all of the employees is always polite and courteous. One of his lead mechanics, Matthew, is extraordinarily good at his craft. Duane is always amiable and never in a hurry yet he will usually UPOD (under promise and over deliver). Services are always completed on time and at the price quoted.



I am not related to anyone at this business nor do I have a vested interest. I just believe that if someone takes good care of you, then you should take good care of him. I will continue taking my vehicles to him for repairs and will recommend this place to friends and relatives.
