My wife has been asking me for some time to try the Grasshopper; the reviews all looked good so we decided to give it a try...so disappointed, the restaurant was dirty, from the tables to the fish tank to the restrooms. When I went to use the restroom I thought I entered the back Allie, dirty and covered in graffiti, no hand towels. The food was also disappointing. the food did not taste fresh and was very oily. I noticed all the other reviews were from 2007 or earlier, things must have changed. I will head to China town or find another location.

Though the local Boston Vegetarian Society dines here monthly, I've been knbown to dine here 2-3 times in a month. The owner/managers and staff are all friendly. They remember their regulars, and their delicious vegan food is both ample and priced way below the going price. If you want ONLY health-supporting vegan food, select from the variously-prepared vegetables in the buffet, and if spicy food is your choice, there are numerous choices in the unlimited buffet, always restocked with even more and different vegan options.Everyone else calls this a 5, and that's my vote, too! When the Boston Vegetarian Society lists this venue monthly, they do so because it's a really great place with consistently high quality food, service, and ambience.
