- Primary CareIf your insurance plan is a HMO or POS policy it may require you to choose a PCP (Primary Care Provider). You will need to choose a physician from our practice. If your insurance card lists another physician's name, we will see your child, but you will be "Private Pay" and required to pay at the time of service until the PCP has been changed to one of our physicians.
- Emergency CareIt is your responsibility to know if you need a referral and the time requirements. Most insurance cards have the information on the back of the card or a phone number you can call to find out the information. We need a week to obtain non-urgent referrals and will obtain emergency room referrals within the time period you specify.
- ImmunizationsSeeing children and parents at regular intervals is important in maintaining your child's health, evaluating growth and development, discussing safety, nutrition and behavior, answering questions, and administering vaccinations.
- GynecologyAccording to the CDC, yes. Based on how COVID-19 vaccines work, experts feel they are unlikely to present a specific risk for pregnant women. Although there is limited data on the safety of COVID-19 vaccines in pregnant women, trials are underway to further study vaccine safety and efficacy in this group. Of note, the CDC reports that pregnant women are at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. And, pregnant women with COVID-19 may be at higher risk for unfavorable outcomes, like preterm birth. Pregnant women should discuss COVID-19 vaccination with their OB-GYN.
