I see a therapist named Karen there and she is FABULOUS. I see Dr. V on occassion to discuss my progress with the new medications prescribed. He listens to what I have to say and takes me seriously. I think he's a very skilled professional. I highly recommend Karen if you are looking for a counselor. She's AMAZING. She doesnt just sit there and say, "uh huh....and how does that make you feel?" She's very engaging!!!

My wife, in addition to suffering from depression and bipolar disorder, experiences dibilitating migraines and seizures resulting from head trauma. Dr. V abruptly took her off of all of her medications, including her anticonvulsants. I would not recommend him to anyone for any reason. What he did was medically irresponsible. Fortunately, she has an appt. with a neurologist soon, but if she has a seizure prior to that, we will be filing a malpractice suit against Dr. V.

My son started seeing a counsler there about a year ago. He absolutley loves her but there is a lack of communication with her. I almost always have to email her about what is going on with my and she may or may not answer your email. With him still having trouble at school we asked if she could help us with some testing for learning dissabilties she said sure and sent us to Dr. Mendoza in the same office. Well when we went to see him all he wanted to do was put him on different medication. When I told him that is not what we were there for he said what do you want! I said we are just looking for an learning dissabilty assesment. Since he doesn't do that we are now going to a different dr. He was very confusing and very hard to understand and I don't feel he even cares he didn't even talk to my son. The office staff is very rude and unhelpful. And don't ask for the office manger she is the worst. Not very satisfied with our experience. Good Luck!

Dr. V is absolutely awesome! My step son was having some problems and ask me if I would take him to a doctor to help him stop getting in trouble, so I called his pediatrician and he set up the appointment with Dr. V and finally!!! We had a diagnoses which was ADHD which is what I had thought all along and he started him on medication and wow the change and the difference in his actions are so wonderful! I was a little nervous over the medication thinking it would make him a zombie, but NO all of his stuttering has stopped, he has stopped all his little ticks and he seems so much calmer!!So I would like to thank Dr. V for doing what he does and for helping my son (step son) and we will see you again very soon for a follow up.Sincerely, Cindy Harriss

He always takes his time to listen to my concerns and asks pertinent questions. He isn't just a "prescription writer". He cares what I think and takes my concerns into consideration. His staff is cordial and always kind and helpful. I wouldn't want any other physician treating me

My son sees Dr. V...only because he is one of very few child psychiatrists in Amarillo. The people in the office are not very friendly in person or on the phone. Dr. V. seems knowledgeable but is very hard to understand. I don't think he interacts with the children very well. Dr. V. does go out of town alot and when he does good luck getting a med refill. It would be nice if we had more qualified docs in Amarillo to see children.

I HAVE BEEN A PACIENT OF DR. V FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR NOW AND I HAVE BEEN FEELING LIKE A GUINEA PIG FOR ABOUT A YEAR, EFFEXOR, ABILIFY,SERIQUIL,CELEXA, XANAX, BUT TRY .25 X4/.50X3/1 MG XANAX 3 TIMES A DAY AND ADD 400 OR/200MG SERIQUIL AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN SLEEPING MY LIFE AWAY, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS ON EFFEROX AHHHH ITS OK LETS TAKE YOU OFF OF IT CAUSE IT ISN'T DOING WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO AND THEN PUT YOU BACK ON IT 7 MONTHS LATER... AND HERE IS THE KICKER I AM A CURRENT PACIENT OF THIS DOCTOR AND MR. Murali Veeramachaneni GOES ON VACATION FOR A WEEK AND LEAVE HIS NURSE THAT WORKS NON SCHEDULED HOURS IN CHARGE, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET HER TO HELP YOU WHEN SHE DECIDES TO SHOW UP TO WORK. CALLED TWICE NEED A SCRIPT REFILLED TODAY BECAUSE I WAS HAVING WITHDRAWLS AND THEY TOLD ME IF IT WAS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY TO GO TO THE ER... THIS IS MENTAL HEALTH PEOPLE... I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE WHO BASICALLY CONTROLS MY LIFE WITH MEDICATION WOULD ABANDON SHIP AND LEAVE NO ONE AT THE HELM.
