0There are better rehab facilities in town. This particular one has a culture that is not customer friendly. Social worker was unprofessional I felt talked down to when asking questions about the care that could be provided. Nursing staff would openly show that they were annoyed by requests. When I asked therapist to call me to discuss questions they would never call back. Bad experience overall, I had to call another rehab facilities in town to get my Medicare questions answered. Ridiculous!
8 months ago I would have said they were great. However, I have since learned that their level of care and concern stops when someone passes away and they're no longer earning an income from that individual. Aid for, and interest in the patient and family ends as soon as the patient's life ends, to include the refusal to return calls and being cussed at and hung up on (by the hospital administrator) while we continue to obtain Medicaid reimbursement for the duration of hospital stay for our loved family member. Learning this about this facility has been shocking, more than surprising after our impression of the facilities 'caring' for our mother, and more importantly, it's made us very, very sad to learn that her care was based on the receipt of income while she was a resident. Our judgement of facilities for the best care possible for our Mother was clearly in error leaving us with extreme guilt because of our placing her at Heritage. Sincere caring continues always, despite income.

Heritage is a 136 bed skilled nursing facility specializing in physical rehabilitation and long term care. We offer superior healthcare and rehabilitation in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes dignity, autonomy and safety. With an emphasis on rehabilitation, our staff provides innovative treatment approaches to assist residents in returning to a normal and viable lifestyle. Health care professionals include Nursing, Rehabilitation, Registered Dietician, Social Services, Physician Services and Certified Activities Director all under the direction of a Licensed Administrator. A physician directs each resident's health care and is available 24/7 for consultations. Heritage recognizes that having competent, compassionate and dedicated employees are the key to providing high quality service. We offer transportation to and from medical appointments, Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill, private rooms and telephones, large screen television, cable, daily newspapers, electric beds and Wi-Fi internet.
