Parts must be kept in optimal working order with the hope they will never have to be used. Certainly, fire inspection tests are recommended for safety, but local laws and codes also require them. Businesses cannot operate and can be closed or risk being fined if they do not comply. Tests are performed by checking the valves and draining the pipes, looking for foreign matter.
