- MRIArthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows doctors to diagnose and sometimes treat joint injuries and disease through small incisions in the skin. It is often performed to confirm a diagnosis made after a physical examination and other imaging tests such as MRI, CT scan or X-rays. During an arthroscopic procedure, a thin fiberoptic light, magnifying lens and tiny television camera are inserted into the problem area, allowing the doctor to examine the joint in great detail.
- RadiologyFrom the nurses and medical assistants to the radiology technicians and front office staff, our patients receive high-quality, detail-oriented, and comprehensive orthopedic care.

- ArthroscopyArthroscopy is not appropriate for every patient. Your doctor will discuss the diagnostic and treatment options that are best for you.
- Ankle SurgeryYour feet are often ignored and abused; you don’t realize how much you depend on your feet until you can’t walk, not to mention run, without pain.
- Joint ReplacementArthroplasty is the generic term for corrective surgery on a joint. Arthroplasty is derived from the Greek word “Arthros†-meaning joint and the Greek word “Plasty†-meaning to form, mold, or shape-literally translating into “shaping of the joint†. In modern terms, this most commonly means a “total joint arthroplasty†or “total joint replacement†. Hip and knee total joint arthroplasties are still the most commonly performed but shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, and even ankles are available.
- Hand SurgeryHand surgery involves injuries and problems of the nerves, tendons, bones, and ligaments of the hand and wrist. Hand problems may be painful and limit such things as writing or typing, but most people don’t walk on their hands.
- Orthopedic SurgeryDr. Moss enjoys the variety of general orthopedic surgery but specializes in sports medicine procedures including knee and shoulder arthroscopic ligament reconstruction and repair. He also enjoys trauma surgery, and additionally knee and shoulder arthroplasty.
- Bunions
- ArthroscopyFor some patients it is then possible to treat the problem using this approach or with a combination of arthroscopic and “open†surgery. Sports injuries are often repairable with arthroscopy. Tendon tears in the knee are frequently repaired in this way. Other potentially treatable injuries include torn cartilage or ligaments, inflamed joint lining, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff tears, and loose bone or cartilage.
- Hip Replacement
- Knee ReplacementDr. Sladek practices general orthopedics & specializes in joint replacement. His joint replacement interests include computer-assisted navigation for hip & knee replacements, revision joint replacements, and minimally invasive techniques, including partial knee replacement & makoplasty. Dr. Sladek, in partnership with Dr. Kim, also developed the minimal stay joint replacement program at Northwest Community Hospital.
- Sports MedicineOur doctors have specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports injuries, and can help athletes return to their favorite activities as quickly as possible through the most advanced, minimally invasive treatments available.
- Physical TherapyBecause of the frequent use, wear-and-tear and risk of a fall or accident associated with sports activities, athletes are often susceptible to orthopedic injuries, including a stress fracture, chronic pain, or a tearing or stretching of internal structures. Different activities place different areas at a higher risk for damage, so it’s important to take the necessary precautions to protect yourself while playing sports. Treatment for these conditions may involve surgery, orthotics, physical therapy and rest.
- Back Pain
- Manual TherapyOur skilled, on-site physical therapists use manual therapy, functional exercise, and other techniques to speed recovery after surgery or injury.
