      Texas Health Resources is one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health care delivery systems in the United States and the largest in North Texas in terms of patients served. The system's primary service area consists of 16 counties in north central Texas, home to more than 6.2 million people. Texas Health Resources was formed in 1997 with the assets of Fort Worth-based Harris Methodist Health System and Dallas-based Presbyterian Healthcare System. Later that year, Arlington Memorial Hospital joined the organization. In addition to its 13 wholly-owned acute-care hospitals, Texas Health Resources has joint-venture partnerships with three other acute-care hospitals plus six short-stay hospitals and 18 outpatient facilities and other community access points. Texas Health Resources has more than 4,100 licensed hospital beds, over 20,500 employees and some 5,500 physicians with active staff privileges across North Texas - all are dedicated to its mission: To improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.
