      Established in 1999, the MCGHealth Sports Medicine Center is full-service health care facility. It offers treatment for various sports-related injuries, such as contusions, sprains, strains and fractures. Located in Augusta, Ga., The center s staff includes orthopedists, family physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, sports nutritionists and consultants. The MCGHealth Sports Medicine Center offers medical services for the Augusta State University, Aiken-Augusta Swim League, Augusta Ballet, Augusta Park & Recreation, Augusta Rugby football club and Augusta Striders. The center provides muscle strength, sensation, joint mobility, flexibility and posture evaluation solutions. It conducts a rehabilitation program that focuses on therapeutic exercises, modalities to relieve pain and inflammation and guidelines for progressive return to pre-injury levels. The MCGHealth Sports Medicine Center is a part of MCGHealth, which offers treatment for blood disorders, multidisciplinary cancer and heart diseases.
