No real negatives here. Been going here for literally years! Only issue is sometimes there is a bit of a wait. I blame management on that but it is only occasionally. They are thoughtful, pleasant and reasonable in their pricing.

I took our little 7 year old one-eyed female dog here for the first time today, and got her teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, the three vets that our dog saw in her past did NOT examine her teeth, and therefore she had to have 5 pulled today. The staff here was super busy, but still very friendly, as well. The explanations of procedures, medications and costs were thorough and reasonable. The vet tech even carried our dog out to the car for me when I picked her up because I am disabled, and our dog was having trouble walking from the anesthesia after effects. I am very impressed with the staff here! I will definitely be bringing our dog to Broadview Animal Clinic from now on!!
Please Note: They are so busy here because they are go GREAT!!! Be patient, if you want the best for your animal!

Do Not Take Your Pets Here

Please do not take your pets to this vet clinic, especially if your vet is Dr. Rucker, he misdiagnosed my poor kitten and due to his carelessness I had to put my kitten down at 11 months old. When i took my kitten into Dr. Rucker at first i thought i was going to get the best services because me and my parents have taken my 3 dogs there for years, but because i assumed i would get good service... i was wrong. I tried telling Dr. Rucker my kitten had neurological problems due to witnessing some of the behavior in a family members kitten, i was told i was wrong and it was kitten behavior, i then went on to tell him more symptoms in my kitten and asked if he would be okay to get fixed due to this he said yes again its just kitten behavior he will grow out of it. i got him fixed and after i got him fixed everything went down hill, because Dr. Rucker told me it was kitten behavior i trusted the trained vet and sadly that cost my kitten his life. He did have neurological issues i got that confirmed the day i had to take him to get him put down. I also spoke to a manager, Jacque Smiley and was told i was wrong but she would refund my money. PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS TAKE THEM ELSEWHERE!!! This vet clinic does not care about your animals, its all about the money.

It's hard to star rate Broadview. Broadview as a whole I give 4 stars. Dr. Davies gets 5+++++ stars. Dr. Davies and the office manager, Tawyna, went above and beyond to help me fix this situation. They have shown compassion and taken the time to explain everything that is important. I cannot recommend Davies enough, he is our new vet and I feel VERY comfortable with that.

Now for the issue....Dr. Zale, he is the WORST vet I've ever met. He has no bedside manner. He misdiagnosed my dog and refuses to take responsibility for being wrong. I am filing a complaint with the state veterinary board and I will post everywhere I can think of to warn people. By all means, use Broadview but DO NOT LET DR.ZALE TOUCH YOUR PET!!!!! Request Davies or literally any other person in that building. I think the reception girls could do a better job helping an animal than Mitch Zale. ZERO STARS FOR ZALE!!!!!!!!!

I have been bringing my dogs to Dr. James Wingert’s clinic for about a decade and one half. He has always had a kind and caring staff. My latest trip was pleasant because of the way the tech Bryan that handled Kooshi’s tooshi cleaning and toenail clipping experience. He was extremely calm and took the time to let Kooshi settle down and clipped and filed each toenail without frightening her more.

He apprised me of each step as I held her. I always make sure she is wearing a muzzle during such procedures for the safety of the staff. Thank you all for doing what you do.

They are fine with shots but if you have anything that requires anesthesia go somewhere else! The dogs recover in an open room with other pets. They are too busy to do a good job.

THE BEST….and most affordable clinic in the Metro Area!

I have been going to Broadview Animal Clinic for 30 years. They are one of the most affordable clinic's in the Metro Area. I have ALWAYS been given options to treatment. They have a beautiful facility and the show love, care and concern for the animals. I have had 4 cats and 4 dogs pass through those doors. I wouldn't go any where else, as I have been to other vets who cost you an arm and a leg! Dr. Wingert is the best!

Terrible care - poor customer relations

Called during the week to make sure they were able to do OFA testing on Saturdays. I was told it was OK and on a first come first serve basis between the hours of 8-11 am. Arrived an hour early to be second in line when the doors opened. The doctor was very irritated that I brought them in on Saturday and made a point of belittling for me for doing so. Apparently, he was agitated that I would bring them in on Saturday for an OFA. In the process of doing my first dog's x-rays; they pulled so hard on the front leg the dog was unable to walk out on it. Instead of taking the time to sedate the dog as suggested by OFA, they chose to struggle with the dog and the X--rays were not good enough to submit in mine and another establishments opinion. Both dogs x-rays were not straight and really should have been redone The other doctor on duty that day had to give my dog a shot to relax the muscle and send them home with pain medication. It took two days for the dog to put full weight on the paw. I am out over three hundred dollars for x-rays that are not the quality they should have been for OFA. I am a very caring and forgiving person and only expect common decency and to be treated with the same respect I give to others. I feel that I have lost several thousand dollars that I shouldn't be out based on the treatment I was given at this place of business. All the doctor had to do was come out and ask me if it would be OK to sedate the dog and I would have gladly agreed to pay the extra cost. He was in such a hurry and apparently so angry; he couldn't even give me the common courtesy of discussing the problems he was having. Perhaps he could have asked me if I could bring them in another day when they could be sedated. He chose not to do either. Bottom line, you get what you pay for and it winds up costing you a lot more in the end. I walked in with two dogs walking on all four legs and out with two dogs walking on seven legs and no acceptable x-rays. I was told that I would have to pay to have them done "THE RIGHT WAY", the way they should have been done the first time. They just "push everybody thru", no respect, "take the money and run".

Skip this one, unless you like long waits

We went to Broadview Animal Clinic based on several recommendations from an online posting. Unfortunately the place turned out to be a joke of a business. We had an appointment, showed up early, and STILL waited an hour and never saw a doctor. My cat is too old and sick to be put through that kind of stress. I need a vet that believes in customer service... including being on time! We watched other animals come in after us, be seen, and LEAVE before we were even called into an exam room. DO NOT go to Broadview Animal Clinic if you're looking for you AND your pet to be treated right.

Service

I was referred by another Vet. Wen I called, was placed on hold some minutes. Lady who took my call was uncaring, cold, etc. (But she sounded harried). No help, no empathy no initiative, so SHE term'd the call and I still had unanswered BASIC questions, hours of operation rates, etc.So needless to say....................

First and last visit

I called because my dog was having bloody diarrhea since 5:00 AM non stop. I know my dog and know that this isn't right. I call and a girl answers the phone, I am hurt because my dog is hurting and you would think that someone in this field would pick up on that but she simply stated nothing available till Saturday and then had the nerve to tell me to give my dog pepto bismol because it is probably just an upset stomach. First and foremost, a receptionist should never be giving out medical advice. Who knows, maybe I could have just taken her word and given my dog this but at what dose? She didn't tell me, any one who knows should know to consult with a doctor first as you wouldn't want to overdose your dog. I was so upset by her incompetence I called back to have to declaw on my cat canceled. I spoke with a lovely office manager who apologized and offered to get my dog in today. So I take my dog and as I suspected he has an overgrowth of bacteria which needed antibiotics. The doctor barely gave me 2 minutes, practically insulted me for bringing in my dog for this reason like my dog's health isn't important. He merely handed me the medicine, which he didn't bother to go over with me and opened the door and left the room before I could even get my leash on my dog.I know when I talked to the office manager that she states that they do care about the client, IE you and your pet, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had and I can assure you I will not return. I would rather pay more money to be treated as a human, with some compassion and understanding of my feeling verses them acting like my pet and I mean nothing and are a waste of their time. Guess I should have taken the warning from the people I inquired to about their experiences with this clinic and their staff.

Broadview is awesome and my kitties think Dr. Davies is the Purrfect vet for them!

This is a great veterinarian clinic! They have some really good vets here, but Dr. Davies is my favorite. He is wonderful with my 6 cats/kittens and extremely affordable. They treat you animals as if they were their own and squeeze you in if you have an emergency. They have done vaccines, diagnosed illnesses, spayed/neutered and more and I have never been dissatisfied. Years ago I was going to PetSmart, and I can tell you between the prices and care it's like night and day. I would highly recommend them!

We started taking our dog to t...

We started taking our dog to this clinic two years ago. Reasons: itching, hot spots, ear infections, scratching, biting his skin. smell. For two years several different vets looked at him. Every time we went home with a spray for hot spot and some antibiotics for ear infection. Now two years later of constant visits, apparently my dog has a chronic skin infection that is impossible to cure. They gave me 3 kinds of different antibiotics, thyroid meds, tramadol and steroids. Now my dog does not sleep at all, he is afraid to lay down because his skin is so raw and bloody and covered with scabs. He literally stands on day on his 4 feet. Nothing helps him to calm down.

In two years, not a single vet at that hospital was able to put two and two together to figure out that if the dog gets ear infection every 3 months, itches, scratches and is uncomfortable, there may be something else wrong with him. At the time it all had started my dog was 11, now he is 13. For the past several months those vets started blaming it all on his age. I finally just brought him in and said that I was not to leave the clinic until they help him. They shaved him (finally, two years later) and saw the raw bloody skin and realized in how much pain he has been.

Yes, it is my fault for not changing the hospitals. My friend goes there and for some, unknown to me reason, likes it. Plus, I have paid so much money to them during all these years, that it scared me to start the whole process all over at a new hospital.

Now my dog does not sleep, cries all the time, stands all day long even when he no longer can keep his open and can barely walk. That's the result of neglectful vets at this hospital. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL NOT EVER EVER AGAIN!

Great service, great pricing! A+!

My first appointment made me a believer! In and out with two dogs in 45 minutes- great considering all we had to do. Very affordable, but they don't skimp on service. A+!

After having been to many vets...

After having been to many vets, this is the best one yet. They educate customers on vaccines but don't push those that may not be necessary. They don't poo-poo raw feeding. The fact that they are reasonably priced is a bonus. Not only do their prices make it easier on the wallet, it encourages preventative and routine checkups.
