A very beautiful gallery that goes above and beyond my expectations. Don Martin, the owner and his assistant go out of there way to make everything goes smoothly. I would recommend the Metro Galleries to anyone looking for a beautiful place to have there next event!

Buyer beware.... Venue is beautiful and affordable, but you guessed it.... to good to be true. When we negotiated the contract with Don, the owner, he told us that his people would clean up the day of our wedding and we could leave our things there for as long as we needed. He said that my husbands Dad can pick our things up during the week whenever it was convenient for him since Don knows him because he has shown his furniture at the gallery. Since we believed what Don told us we scheduled to leave for our honeymoon the day after our wedding. Well the day of the rehearsal(the day before our wedding) Ricky, Dons assistant, told us that we had to clear our things out Sat night, the day of our wedding. I was furious since I had already agreed with Don that my father in law can pick our things up the following week and he said his coordinator would take care of all clean up. If we would have known we needed to have everything cleared the day of our wedding WE WOULD HAVE HIRED SOMEONE TO DO IT! Instead our wedding party had to clean tables and remove all decor at the end of our wedding. I was convinced this was a misunderstanding since Ricky didn't know that Don and I had agreed to something else. we tried calling Don, as soon as we found out about the clean up, so that we can discuss what he had agreed to... Guess who conveniently didn't return any calls... You guessed it Don. He conveniently was able to talk to Ricky only to reinforce that we needed to have our things out of there by sat night.



Our rehearsal time was also changed the week of the wedding, but he warned us that may happen so we were ok with that.



Don also mentioned that there was remodeling in the bar area going on and that it should be done by the date of our wedding. Of course he did mention he couldn't promise it since remodeling projects are so unpredictable. The following week, i was so excited i told my hairdresser about our wedding and she told me she also had her wedding there several years ago. Don told her the same thing about the bar area... We're remodeling the bar area but I think it maybe done by your wedding date.



My advice to you, if you decide to have your wedding or event there make sure your contact specifies when you will pick up your things and who will clean them up. This way they can't bring the contract out a day before your event and say sorry your contract doesn't say that. I can only do what your contract says, I wasn't there when he promised you that.





I made a mistake in not making sure it was in the contract. I dropped my guard because he had done business with my father in law so I trusted his word. Don't make the same mistake please. Thank goodness we had a wonderful wedding party that helped, otherwise we would have been putting things away on our wedding night.
