LaHouse is a unique demonstration home that depicts a range of ways that today's homes can overcome the challenges of a hot, humid, rainy climate, hurricanes, floods, and termites while providing more of what we want from our homes. It displays beautiful design and decor along with views into what's normally hidden -- 4 high-performance, energy-efficient building systems and technologies, fortified features, many green materials, healthy indoor air strategies, universal design for all ages and stages of life and more. LaHouse is a regional sustainable housing resource center and educational outreach initiative of the LSU AgCenter Extension Service.
