      General Info
      The Lewis Law Firm currently consists of three attorneys and their support staff. The firm's practice encompasses many areas of law ; however, a large portion of the practice is dedicated to insurance company representation, with emphasis on fraudulent or suspected fraudulent first party claims and arson cases. The attorneys are routinely called upon to direct the investigation of suspected fraudulent first party claims and to defend against alleged breaches by insurors of the duty of good faith and fair dealing, including suits brought under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and Article 21.21 of the Texas Insurance Code. Mr. Lewis has tried many arson and fraud cases with results favoring his insurance company clients. The firm also represents insurance companies and its insureds in the defense of liability claims and suits such as auto, premises liability, sexual assault, and commercial liability. Another large portion of the firm's practice is dedicated to commercial banking and business litigation. Representing several banking institutions in the East Texas area, the firm has developed an expertise in a number of areas to meet the varying needs of its clients. These areas include collections, foreclosure proceedings, bankruptcy, lender liability, real estate and loan transactions, corporations and bank litigation. The attorneys in the law firm are licensed to practice in both State and Federal Courts and daily practice in Jefferson County, Texas. Their practice routinely extends to Orange, Newton, Jasper, Hardin, Harris, Liberty, Angelina, Walker, Chambers, Polk, Tyler and Montgomery counties and Central Texas.
