General Info
About Big Sky Diagnostic Imaging Big Sky Diagnostic Imaging is a state-of-the-art medical imaging facility located in Billings, Montana. Established in 2005, Big Sky Diagnostic Imaging is dedicated to providing the best technology, service, and care to patients and physicians. Big Sky is locally owned and local radiologists read the studies, enabling direct physician to physician consultation. Big Sky's commitment to Superiority is clear throughout the clinic. Big Sky has the only 3.0T ( UHF ) MRI in the region, allowing the highest quality imaging anywhere. Big Sky makes every attempt to take exceptional care of each patient. With a dedicated billing professional, Big Sky works with nearly all primary and secondary insurance plans, as well as personal payment options, to ensure patients can receive the best scan available. Patient waiting rooms are personal and include cable television, leather seating, and children's activities. Big Sky has been recognized by Siemens as a national showsite and training facility. The designation of a Siemens training facility means that when hospitals or clinics purchase a 3T MRI system like Big Sky's, they come to Big Sky to train and learn how to operate the sophisticated MRI system. In 2007, Big Sky received ACR ( American College of Radiology ) accreditation status in MRI. The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR's Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
