      General Info
      The Junior League of Birmingham founded Birmingham Children s Theatre in 1947. Now in its 59th season, BCT is one of America s largest professional theatres for youth and family audiences providing theatrical entertainment throughout Alabama and the Mid-Atlantic region. Based in Birmingham, Ala., it operates a three-theatre complex and produces five national tours. BCT performs to more than 400,00 audiences in as many as 75 Alabama cities annually through its touring program, Theatre in Motion. Prior to a BCT show, teachers and school children are provided with study guides pertaining to the production.
