My wife and I ate here for lunch one day and it was terrible. The server was too worried about talking to another older gentleman and working on her tip. After about 20 minutes we finally received our appetizer. It took another 20 minutes after we finished it to get our food. We were ready for our bill after we ate but it took so long my wife had to go over to the table that she was setting at and request our check. After getting it and seeing it was overpriced we brought it to her attention in which she said she couldn't change it. We paid and she shorted us on our change so we got it back and left no tip

I absolutely had the best service and the best food I have had in a while! Applebee's in bluegills by far is the best Applebee's yet!!!

My husband and I visited this Applebees on 3/24/10. The service was very poor. It took about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged that we were there. Then the server took our order and someone else brought us our appetizer but we had no drinks at this point. I had to go ask someone to get us our drinks. We completely finished the appetizer and had to wait about 15-20 more minutes for our entrees, which our server did not bring out, but someone else did. Our server was virtually absent the entire time we were there. A meal which we thought shouldn't take us more than 45 minutes ended up being about 1 1/2 hours...just to get a 2 for $20 deal. One of the managers noticed that we weren't getting very good service, so she adjusted our bill but when we gave the server the money to pay for it, she shortchanged us $1.10...we considered that her tip and just left...just wanted to get back home. We won't visit this Applebees again for a very long time.

Food is good, reasonably priced. Service has been good on the multiple occasions I have been there. Probably the best beer selection in Bluefield. Busy place, main course can take a little time to arrive.
