General Info
The Commission on Affairs of the Elderly works to improve quality of lives for senior citizens through planning, coordinating and monitoring the delivery of services. It supports a paratransit program that provides door-to door transportation to eligible people who are not able to use general public transportation due to physical, cognitive and mental disabilities. The commission has a direct services unit that unit provides assistance to seniors with government benefits and health, tenant and homeowner issues. The Commission on Affairs of the Elderly also offers various volunteer opportunities through retired and senior volunteer and senior companion program. It is located in Boston, Mass.
