My husband and I recently went to Dr. Donnell for the first time and we were really impressed by him. My husband has had bad experiences with the dentist in the past, and was pleasently surprised by how much more comfortable he felt at Dr. Donnell's office. The hygenist I had was very friendly, too. Dr. Donnell did 3 fillings for my husband, and said he could barely feel the shot when Dr. Donnell gave him the novacaine. Overall, we both feel much more at ease going to a dentist with so much experience.

I have been going to Dr. Donnell for 20 years, and he is a great dentist. He is excellent at administering shots and has always done everything he can to eliminate discomfort during treatment. The hygienists are friendly and the rest of the staff are great, too. Dr. Donnell took out my wisdom teeth, and I had almost no swelling or pain. He also called during the weekend after my appointment to follow up on how I felt. He has flatscreen TVs in the ceiling so you can watch television while you get your teeth cleaned! Overall, a great doctor, and I would recommend him to anyone.

I would NEVER suggest that anyone go to Dr. Donnell. I was explicit with the receptionist that I was anxious about dentistry when I set up an appointment for three fillings. The receptionist said they would give me nitrous and that I would be fine. I got there and was extremely anxious. At a point, I was hyperventilating and Dr. Donnell said that I needed to get myself together cause I was a "moving target" and he couldn't drill. I told him about how I had spoken to the receptionist about it, and he said "No one is going to put you out for this." This is only some of what ill treatment I received. I have NEVER been so mistreated at a dentists office before in my life. DO NOT GO TO HIM.

I went to see Dr. David Donnell for my first root canal when I moved to Bowling Green. I told the receptionist how nervous I was-and my fear of dentists. Dr. Donnell was uncomforting and rude. He didn't even greet me when I walked in. During the procedure, when I told him I needed more novacane because I felt the drill, he angrily told me, "It is just your imagination." Never in my life had I felt so offended. I left that day in tears. Well, that was the last time I ever visited that dental office. I would not recommend this dentist for children or adults who are scared of dental work!
