The Rankin County Learning Center offers a range of educational and enrichment programs for students with behavioral and academic problems. It enrolls students in kindergarten through grade 12. The center provides classes in business education, computer technology, science, mathematics, social studies and language arts. The Rankin County Learning Center offers an academic intervention program for students who are behind in their educational sequence. It operates a parent center. The center s special education programs assists in developing vocational and pre-employment skills. The Rankin County Learning Center additionally administers the Region 8 Mental Health Services Program, which meet the behavioral health care needs of students. It is governed by the Rankin County School District.
