Most of the places we contacted told us it would take 1-2 weeks to take care of our Mom after she passedvery unsettling. Peaceful Reflections was the only one willing to hustle to try to take care of her within our familys 3 day traditionand they did it! What a relief we felt. When our loved one died, we had to make decisions at the worst time in our lives. We needed someone to guide us through the process with compassion, integrity, and honesty, not to take advantage of our vulnerability for profit. Many places tried to "upsell" us on a "better" (more expensive) casket ("Doesn't Mom deserve the very best?"), verbally twisting our arms to make a more elaborate (more expensive) service, or putting together a "more deserving" (more expensive) reception. We learned that there are alternatives out there like cremation that provides more flexibility and customization of service and that you can actually shop around.
