General Info: Katie Dunbar, DO, MPH was initially drawn to The Iowa Clinic because of the physician owned aspect. The environment of the clinic felt natural, and she immediately connected with the other physicians and staff. Dr. Dunbar chose Family Medicine because it allows her to develop close, lasting relationships with patients. She enjoys helping them meet their mental and physical health goals. These are the two components she finds most rewarding about being a physician. Dr. Dunbar holds a MPH in Maternal, Child and Family Health from the University of Iowa and is passionate about Women’s Health. Born and raised in Iowa, Dr. Dunbar is excited to be back in her home state after 12 years and 10 moves. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, practicing yoga and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
