I was very disappointed in the services provided, or shall I say not provided by Ms. Hurd. she was hired to mediate divorce proceedings. My personal opinion is that she was more interested in billing hours than achieving a quick and successful settlement. Although she represented that she felt a $3,000 retainer should cover her billing or at least most of it, the process was further away from completion when her services were terminated at the end of the retainer than when we started. Ms. Hurd refused to dig into the issues, choosing to drag out the procedure. Interesting to note that an agreement was reached and disolusioment filed 60 days after Ms. Hurds services were terminated. I have filed a grievance with the Ohio Supreme Court. They will not take action as they have determined that "her mistaken conduct does not amount to unethical conduct". I highly recommend against using the "Collaborative" process that Ms. Hurd promotes.
