I've been twice and will go again. The restaurant is clean, the service is good and so is the food.

Took my husband here for his birthday, and the service was terrible!!!. At first the waitress didn't bring our table some bread. When we finally got her attention, she brought only 2 small baskets for a group of 15 (3 tables total). When we asked for more she said she would have to charge us for it. Really! I have been here many times before, and have never been charged for extra bread! The food was alright, but as soon as we got done eating, the waitress began to rush us to leave! Apparently because she had other customers waiting, but when we looked around, there where 4 empty tables around the entire restaurant! When we told her we where planning to stay till the the nightclub started, she said that we should have stated that when we made the reservation. How are we supposed to know, if the person who took our call at the restaurant didn't ask?! She was obviously upset and told us that at 11pm, we had to leave because no children where allowed after that time, and we had some in our party. The rest of the night, the waitress would not check on us and would take care of other tables while passing by ours like nothing. We had to chase her down for drinks, dessert, and even the bill! We even had to ask other waiters for help! She argued with us when we disputed items that she mixed up on our bill, and had a horrible attitude! When we asked for the manager, she said she was! Not to mention, when we got ready to leave with our teenagers, there where still little kids at the restaurant after 11pm. This is the worst service I have ever experienced by far! This waitress should not be in this type of business if she is not able to seperate her personal issues and be proffessional! Needless to say, I do not plan to ever return to this place, and will NOT recommend this place to any of my family or friends! We can find better cuban food just a couple miles south, and the nice club environment is not worth us getting treated like crap by their staff!!!

I used to be a fan of this place but after tonight I wont go back there. I ordered an appetizer of Maraquitas (fried sliced banana chips) for 8 bucks. My wife noted when she bit into them that they taste like fish. I ate a few too and they were cold and poorly presented as if they were left over from someone elses plate. After a few minutes I spotted a fish fin in the appetizer. They took it off the bill but that grossed me out enough to not return. Yeeeccchhhh

A really fun experience if you are looking for a break from the norm. This place has life and atmosphere. Try the Cuban coffee. It may be the best coffee you've ever had.

I think this a great restaurant, our favorite relaxing place in Charlotte, we enjoyed everytime we visit it, we love wine and the selection they offered is great, We have our favorites(plenty to share), Paella and arroz con pollo(yellow seasoned rice with chicken) to me 10 stars

Wonderful food..I try a different dish every time and the variety is great.

I was nervous at first - the wait staff outnumbered the guests 10/1... But the food was very good. Make sure you have a cup of coffee after you eat! That was over-the-top good! I would cross a thousand burning deserts for another cup like that. Prices reasonable - very good experience!

I wish I could have chosen ZERO stars!not authentic - arroz amarillo was nasty...food came out cold...service was awful - the waiter got much of our order incorrect - and it was told to him in spanish...couldn't get refills or more bread...waiter was too busy chatting with people he knew but since he didn't know us we weren't important...THIS EXPERIENCE RUINED MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY DINNER!Tostones were not firm and were soft...Yellow Rice was - I don't even know how to describe it...they don't even have Cuban bread...This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in all my 34 years - by the way I am from Florida - so I know about Authentic...also they only discounted our bill by 10% and gave us coupons any normal patron could get - buy 1 entree and 2 drinks get one half off - come on!

I was at the opening of A Piece of Havana Restaurant the first day it open there was a lot of waiting time, to me it was understandable for first time opening, the food was not that good, but I went again went they reopen with a new Chef three days after and it was awesome I have a lot of fun and the owners are very nice people. the servers were nice and kind of new to the business but they were very nice as well. It is worth to try it. there is real cuban food there. I try Paella Valenciana and it was Delicious.
