that laura lady at front desk is very rude and NO personally!

For the first time in my life I had to contact the Better Business Bureau on this dental clinic. I currently have a complaint out that explains what happened. It is listed below. Keep in mind we were customers for 2 years at this place. Before this incident the service was still only average and unremarkable. You can find better clinics.



On the afternoon of the 22nd of June 2010 my wife was scheduled for a basic check-up and cleaning at the dental office of J. Dewey Willis III, D.D.S., P.C. & Associates General Dentistry where she has been a patient for nearly two years. The appointment was for 1:00pm but we arrived @1:15pm. I dropped my wife off and she checked in at the front desk at exactly 1:15pm. The receptionist proceded to check her in and have her fill out patient information paperwork. My wife asked why she had to fill out the paperwork again seeing as she has been a patient there for two years. The receptionist said they still needed the paperwork. She attempted to fill out the information as best she could but had some difficulty since the questions were english and she speaks mainly spanish. She brought the paperwork to the front desk only partially filled out and asked if I (her husband) could finish filling out the paperwork when I came to pick her up. They said "No." Nor did they attempt to help her with the paperwork. They proceded to tell her that she needed to make another appointment because she had taken too long. They then called me on my phone to tell me that I needed to reschedule because she had just checked in and it was 1:40pm. I replied "No ma'am, I dropped her off there at 1:15pm and she checked in at that time. She replied "then you should know that she missed her appointment and needs to make another." At this point I was confused because they checked her in and then bumped her from her appointment that we had been waiting months for. In my experience once they check you in you should be seen and if they intend not to see you they should tell you at the time you arrive. So I go to pick up my wife and the head associate Laura Crimshaw was at the desk and asked if we planned to book another appointment. I replied "No" and that I would like to fill out the paperwork to transfer my wife's file to another Dentist. Ms. Crimshaw then said I would need to put it in writing and raddled off some further steps on the process of transfer. I did not understand it all so I asked if she could write down the steps I needed to take in order to transfer. She replied that no she could not. She was unwilling to even write down simple instructions for me. At this point I was upset and asked to see her Boss. She replied that she was the Boss. I asked her again if there was someone who worked above her that I could talk to. She said "NO." Upon doing some research on the website of their practice I found out that indeed she was not the Boss and that two head dentists worked above her. She out right lied to me to save her own skin. At this time my hands were tied and I could go no further up the chain of command. I made a sarcastic comment that she was running a very good business. She replied with an attitude " Thanks, that is what are customers tell us every day." I then replied "I will be sure to tell everyone I know how good of a business you are running here. She then said "go ahead and be sure to tell them the importance of showing up to appointments on time."
