      Salter College is a private two-year college of advanced standing for men and women offering complete training through programs in preparation for professional careers in business, health care, and computers. Salter College offers an enriching balance of liberal arts and professional career education. Faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students through quality education and support services while fostering an environment that inspires academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, and an interest in life-long learning and continued higher education. Salter College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award degrees and certificates. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Salter College Medical Assisting Certificate program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistant Endowment (AAMAE). We have two locations in Chicopee MA and West Boylston MA. Not all programs are offered at each location.

      Associate Degrees Offered at the Chicopee location: Office Administration - Our Associate in Science degree in Office Administration prepares graduates to become effective support personnel in professional office environments. Medical Assisting - Students can earn an Associate in Science degree in Medical Assisting. The coursework is focused on educating students in both clinical and administrative areas.

      The Salter College Career Services Department assists students and alumni in all aspects of their job search. The high standard of professional training offered by Salter College for over 60 years has earned an outstanding reputation for providing qualified personnel. The Career Services Department has implemented a Career Directions Seminar, which provides a realistic approach to searching for employment. In addition, students are scheduled for personalized sessions to finalize their job search tools and talk about their individual needs concerning employment. Employment information is updated and monitored on a continuing basis. Graduates are always welcome to use our Career Services Department for placement services. Career Fairs are held to provide career information. Human resource professionals meet with students to discuss job search opportunities. Externships are offered as part of most programs. Students serve an average of three months in their chosen field of study. Externships provide hands-on experience and opportunities, which may lead to employment after graduation. Career Services are also available to all students in The Salter College evening division. Scheduled workshops and individual sessions are held during evening hours.
