We take a different approach to breast care – a complete approach. We not only have state-of-the-art imaging technology for detecting breast conditions, but also a complete team of specialists for follow-up when needed. While nearly 80 percent of lumps turn out to be harmless, learning you have one can be alarming and following-up quickly is critical. Additional tests and procedures – sometimes requiring a series of specialists – are often the next steps. If cancer is the final diagnosis, treatment can include a combination of surgery, radiation therapy and medication and too often, women feel they’re being bounced from office to office for the care they need. At the Radin Breast Care Center, we have specialists in imaging, diagnostics, surgery, pathology, cancer care and emotional support – all under one roof – and they meet together to coordinate a custom treatment plan for each patient. Our Nurse Navigator assists in scheduling and managing appointments while providing care and educating patients so they can focus on getting better. Because screening mammography remains our most effective tool in the early detection of breast cancer, we have convenient screening appointments, including Saturdays.
