This is the 3rd time I've ordered from Fujiyama, but it will definitely be the last. I absolutely will not be going back, and neither will anyone else from our office. This restaurant has displayed the worst customer service I have seen in quite some time, not to mention the poor quality of the food.

We called in to place a total of 5 separate orders for carryout. Nothing special or out of the ordinary. We were told all orders would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes. My coworker and I drove to pick up the food, and ended up arriving about 35 minutes after our phone order was placed. We waited an additional 15 minutes for our food to be brought out by the hostess. She then shrugged and said to us, "You can take everything out of the bags and check your order if you'd like. But I double checked, so..."

I suppose the long wait had made us impatient, because we just chose to trust her "double checking" our food and left the restaurant. After getting through the downtown traffic to arrive back at our office, we opened the bags to discover that all of the items were unlabeled. After literally having to reference the restaurant's menu for pictures to determine what each roll was, we discovered several issues. First, a $19 order of sashimi from the lunch menu was so unfortunately small, it looked as if it was comprised of leftover scrap cuts of fish from a recently assembled roll, then thrown into a decorative circle on a fake leaf. None of us had ever seen an order of sashimi like this. It was not worth the "lunch special" price, let alone what they'd charge during evening hours. Second, the rice on which the sashimi was supposed to be served was missing, along with 2 orders of edamame.

My coworker and I took the order of sashimi with us, along with all receipts, and drove back to the restaurant. I walked up to the hostess and explained the issues we had with our orders. She just nodded, took the box of sashimi to the back of the restaurant, and did not return for another 15 minutes (leaving several arriving groups waiting to be greeted at the front-all other staff ignored them). In the meantime, I walked over to the bar and asked the bartender if there was a manager available for me to speak with about the situation. She pointed to someone on her cell phone behind the bar, and said she could speak with me shortly.

By the time the manager hung up her phone, the hostess was walking up front with 2 bags. She told us the missing orders of edamame and miso soup were included, along with the rice for the sashimi order. There was no apology for the inconvenience, offer for refund or discount, comped rolls, or even a simple thank you for coming to Fujiyama.

I then asked if that was the proper serving portion for the $19 sashimi lunch (which we saw through the bags she brought up front, still in its original plastic box, untouched). She responded with, "It's because tuna and salmon are expensive, so we can't give you anymore."

There was not even an ounce of ownership on the restaurant's part for the mistakes that had been made with our order. I turned around to track down the manager from behind the bar, but she had long run off to the back of the restaurant. My coworker and I decided to leave, since we were obviously getting nowhere.

When I finally got back to my office to eat my lunch, my Spider roll was so disappointing I threw half of it in the trash. Really poor experience with Fujiyama. Considering this is their downtown location, you would think they'd be able to handle group orders, lunch rush, etc. I guess that's not the case.

I come to Fujiyama all the time and the sushi is by far the best in town. I have never had a bad experience. The service is excellent! I highly recommend.

Um... Never again.

The service was... Horrid. The rice was either over cooked or had been cooked so long before we arrived and were served it was more or less dough. The waitress was super slow and not the brightest waitress I've ever met. apparently the bar tender is also the cashier which is just stupid. Needless to say I was less then impressed and I will not be returning. Save your self some money and a lot of time, skip this one.

The best sushi in the Springs. Fujiyama recently moved a few doors down to a larger location and they added tepin-yaki tables. I haven't visited since the move but I can say that their sushi is the only I will eat here. After being spoiled for several years having sushi in the bay area around San Francisco I am picky about good sushi. When we move here I tried nearly every sushi place in town. Most are just BAD. Fujiyama is good, good enough for me to bring visiting friends to. The staff is great, friendly and always willing to help out someone new to the experience. My Colorado friend is now a true sushi lover and we go to Fujiyama for our "girl's night out."

Excellent !!!

I was introduced to Fujiyama last year and am hooked ! Its by FAR the best sushi I've ever had. Everyone I've introduced to it agrees. We haven't been able to find anything in the Springs that even comes close to being as good.
