General Info
Dr. Rempala earned her Master of Arts in clinical psychology in Warsaw, Poland, and her PhD in 1999 from Bowling Green State University. She completed her internship at the University of Louisville Medical School and her post-doctoral year experience as the clinical trial coordinator for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) research study in Louisville, KY. She holds licenses to practice clinical psychology in Kentucky, Georgia and Ohio and is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. In 2018, she became a BCIA-certified neurofeedback provider. Dr. Rempala started practicing as a child and adolescent psychologist and, over the course of the last 20 years, expanded her expertise to adults. Prior to joining the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center she worked in her own private practice. She introduces new evidence-based approaches into her work on regular basis and has extensive clinical experience. She teaches psychology interns, residents and fellows the behavioral approaches to treating sleep disorders and ADHD in adults. Dr. Rempala runs a vibrant generalist clinical practice at Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center. She sees patients with variety of psychological problems Monday through Thursday at the Harding Hospital Outpatient Clinic, and on Fridays she runs a specialized Healthy Sleep Service out of the Upper Arlington ambulatory building on 1800 Zollinger Road. Once or twice a year, Dr. Rempala offers a specialized group for adults with executive functions deficits, often carrying the diagnosis of ADHD. Dr. Rempala is trained in both dynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to psychotherapy. She also conducts parenting training as needed.
