The installers did a great job, and were very respectful of our home, cleaning up inside and out as they completed the installation. The windows have made a tremendous difference in the appearance of the home from outside. Bravo!

Buyer beware! If it sounds too good to be true---it probably is. If the OTHER companies are wolves---then Zen is a wolf in sheep clothing. Zen asked for payment before the job was complete, although they say they do not. On a positive note, they did install the windows quickly.

I used Zen's "Other Services" , too. The work was bad, there was damage to my home and yes, they asked for payment before the work was complete and I sadly paid them. They have not refunded the money to have the work redone or the damage repaired.

Despite being higher then a previous estimate I had received for replacement windows, I went with Zen after a friend referred me to the company. My friend knew the owner and told me to give them a shot and see how they compared. What a mistake that turned out to be. After having the windows for less than a year, the sashes have already been replaced. When I contacted Dan Wolt at Zen Windows for direction after noticing that the sashes were bowing, I was informed that this appeared to be a manufacturing issue.. I then had to contact the manufacturer directly(Thermal Industries), who had to come out (one day off work) and indicated that all but one of the 15 windows would need for at least one, if not both of the sashes replaced. After waiting 2 weeks for the new sashes to be made, I had to take yet another day off to have them install the new product.



In addition to the bowing of the sashes, the instillation of the windows left much to be desired, the caulking was poorly done and had to be completed for a second time, and two sets of windows have different measurements. Over a half inch different between the two. It would not make that big of a difference if both sets were not side by side! In addition, on one window the insulation was showing at the top where there was a gap from mis-measuring the hole apparently, Zen's remedy... caulking the gap!



Throughout this entire process, we were the ones dealing with the manufacture and making the calls to get this issue taken care of, not Zen windows, and definitely not Dan Wolt as he passed the buck every time an issue arose.
