He is proficient in all aspects of otolaryngology, including microscopic ear surgery, thyroid and parotid surgery, nasal obstruction and sinus disorders, snoring and sleep apnea, pediatric ENT disorders, swallowing problems, head and neck cancer, and endoscopic treatment of Zenker’s diverticulum.

- UltrasoundDr. Hannabass is on staff at the John Muir Health System in Walnut Creek and Concord and sees patients in Walnut Creek and Brentwood. His practice focuses on comprehensive otolaryngology, treating disorders of speech and swallowing, the nose and paranasal sinuses, head and neck cancer, and salivary gland disease. He also treats the full range of head and neck endocrine surgery, treating benign and malignant disorders of the thyroid gland as well as hyperparathyroidism. He has special training in ultrasound (US) guided procedures including Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) biopsy and radiofrequency (RF) ablation of thyroid nodules. RF ablation is an office based, US guided procedure that allows for significant reduction in the volume of thyroid nodules causing compressive or cosmetic symptoms without the need for open surgery.
- General SurgeryDr. Loos specializes in delivering comprehensive care for various ear, nose, and throat disorders in addition to performing head and neck surgery. A graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, Dr. Loos went on to receive his medical doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He completed his General Surgery internship and Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery residency training at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC as well as completed additional training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

- OtolaryngologyDr. Lloyd Ford is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of California, San Diego, graduating in 1992. In 1996, he graduated from MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine (known today as the Drexel University College of Medicine) with his medical doctorate. He completed his general internship with UC Davis – East Bay and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. He has presented his research at national meetings and published numerous articles pertaining to his field in top academic journals. He has served on multiple hospital committees.
- Reconstructive SurgeryDr. Loos’ research has appeared in medical textbooks and national scientific journals on both Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He sees patients in our Concord and Walnut Creek offices and is on staff at both John Muir Concord and Walnut Creek Health campuses. Dr. Loos’ credentials include specialized experience in all aspects of ear, nose, throat, head and neck disorders/surgery. He focuses on delivering individualized, comprehensive care in evaluating and treating all ages of patients. While he enjoys traveling, exercise, and playing guitar, Dr. Loos most enjoys spending time with his wife, twin boys and daughter.
